How to Install Hubcaps
Installing hubcaps is a great way to add style and beauty to your car. However, it can also be a little tricky. Whether you have 12" hubcaps, 13" hubcaps, 14" hubcaps, 15" hubcaps or 16" hubcaps, the following information will help you get them on right the first time.
First, remove your old hubcaps. Now, make sure that your wheels are clean and free of debris – you’ll need to clean each wheel. Next, remove the hubcaps from the packaging and take off any packing material adhered. Chances are good that your new hubcaps will be held in place by a retention ring, but you might have a style that uses nuts or bolts, or even plastic caps that screw onto your lug nuts.
You will need to line up the tire’s valve stem with the cutout in the hubcaps. Make sure that the ring and the tabs holding the ring in place are lined up with the wheel and then push in. You might need to work your way around the hubcaps, pushing in at each tab. Push carefully so that you don’t break any of the tabs or dislocate the ring. Repeat the process for the other three hubcaps.
